Frequently asked questions

Plain answers before you send a single record.

What Sofrito is, what the product actually does today, what Founding Access includes, and where the boundaries are.

What is Sofrito?

Sofrito is the financial understanding layer for food businesses. It brings fragmented business records and operating context into one current financial story, shows what deserves attention, recommends the next move, and follows what happened afterward.

Is Sofrito accounting software?

No. Sofrito sits above the tools that record transactions and helps explain what they mean together. It does not replace bookkeeping, tax preparation, payroll, inventory tools, your bank, or your accountant.

What information does Sofrito need?

The exact intake is agreed during onboarding. It may include sales reports, marketplace statements and settlements, payroll summaries, invoices, expense records, banking statements, and the operating context only your team can provide. Sofrito works from reports, statements, records, and exports; it does not claim a live integration unless one actually exists.

What if my records are incomplete?

Missing records limit the conclusion; they do not get filled with guesses. Sofrito names what is missing, what it blocks, and what can still be established. Unknown is a valid result.

How does Sofrito use AI?

AI may assist with organizing evidence and preparing explanations. Code performs financial calculations, and AI cannot invent or override those numbers. Material conclusions are human reviewed during Founding Access.

What is Founding Access?

Founding Access is how customers receive Sofrito today: a 90-day engagement combining purpose-built software with human financial review. The 90-day Founding Access is $149 per month for three payments, for a total of $447. It does not renew automatically.

What do I receive each week?

One human-reviewed Living Brief before the agreed delivery time, with the current financial story, evidence labels, one prioritized financial action, one owner-dependency action, limitations, and supporting proof. The action remains active for customer response and follow-up.

What happens when nothing needs attention?

Sofrito says so. A quiet period is not empty; it means expected evidence was checked, material relationships remained within range, and no active action needs a human. Sofrito does not create urgency just to create activity.

Can Sofrito guarantee savings?

No. Sofrito guarantees the delivery commitment described in the Terms, never a financial outcome, and does not turn every positive movement into a claim that one action caused it.

What does Sofrito not include?

Bookkeeping, tax preparation, legal advice, payroll handling, daily financial management, full inventory counting, full recipe costing, vendor negotiation, or replacement of your POS or accounting tools. Deeper services are separately agreed and priced.

How is my information handled?

The current public Privacy policy covers browsing and applications. A fuller customer notice and agreement must be provided before financial-data intake. Read Trust for current access, provider, AI, history, retention, and policy-gap details.

What benefit do founding members keep?

Founding members who stay continuously subscribed receive at least 20% off Sofrito's prevailing standard price for as long as that subscription remains unbroken.

How do I start?

Begin with the short application. The first step asks for business and contact information, weekly sales range, the money question that takes too long, and the growth plan. Deeper system and record questions come after initial interest.
